Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs selects Cavalli Club for Exclusive Culinary Event

Restaurant develops unique Alice in Wonderland themed evening to impress prestigious dining society

Dubai, UAE, May 24, 2011: Epicureans from the exclusive Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs dining society were treated to an evening of haute cuisine on Tuesday night, when Dubai’s Cavalli Club Restaurant and Lounge hosted a unique Alice in Wonderland themed soiree. The international society, whose members are dedicated to enjoying the finest food and entertainment, selected the up-market eatery for the high standard of cuisine and service that it is renowned for, making it the perfect match for a Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs event.

The news came shortly after the latest members to be nominated to the society were announced - Cavalli Club’s very own Operations Manager, David Lescarret, and White Label, General Manager, Ghazi Azzabi, attesting to the true food-loving nature of the people who make the exquisite restaurant a reality.

“We are delighted that an internationally recognised organisation such as Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs has decided to host one of its evenings at the Cavalli Club Restaurant and Lounge, and both David and I were particularly honoured when we were informed that we had been nominated as members to join,” said Ghazi Azzabi. “Having such a prestigious society recognise the high level of culinary expertise we provide is a fantastic endorsement. It means that Cavalli’s reputation for haute cuisine has travelled throughout the world and we can be justifiably proud of the first class service we offer,” he added.  

Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs is comprised of members who appreciate first-class gastronomy and unique entertainment concepts. It’s true to say that the society diners attending on the evening enjoyed a menu that would have surpassed even the most demanding expectations of the Queen of Hearts. Included within it were such exotic starters such as ‘Tea Party Mock Turtle Soup’ and ‘New Style Wagyu Sashimi Garnished with Gold,’ with ‘Lightly Poached Salmon in Aniseed Jelly with Young Root Vegetables and Garden Herbs’ as one of the main courses. Desserts included ‘Dark Chocolate Egg with a Strawberry Pavlova’ and ‘Fleur de Lait Ice-Cream Center Revealed by Hot White Chocolate.’

Speaking on the choice for the evening’s theme, which was developed by The Cavalli Club Restaurant and Lounge, Operations Manager, David Lescarret commented, “Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland is a timeless tale set in a fantasy world, which we thought would be an apt theme for our Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs event. Its essence epitomises both the cuisine and experience provided at Cavalli Club Restaurant and Lounge – classic dishes served in a magical setting, making for a fairy-tale evening.

Cavalli Club pulled out all the stops to ensure that the restaurant’s décor for the evening reflected the magic of the Alice in Wonderland story. Guests enjoyed surreal touches to the interior design that evoked the young heroine’s journey as she ventures through her strange world, including white rabbits, ambient lighting and a magical selection of music.
